THE STORY

1975 - 1992

EVANGELIST STEVE HILL

AND WIFE

JERI HILL

SMALL BEGINNINGS

Steve Hill and Jeri Larson both accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior in 1975 after years of drug and alcohol abuse. It wasn't until after graduating Teen Challenge and eventually attending David Wilkerson's school Twin Oaks Leadership Academy that Steve and Jeri met. The Lord truly worked a miracle in both of their hearts, and they were married in 1979. From there, they had one mandate in mind, and that was to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They would evangelize to the children in their neighborhood (Little People's Bible Club), become children's Pastors, Youth Pastors and eventually feel a call to the mission field. Steve and Jeri made the trek to Costa Rica and learned Spanish, then planted Churches in Argentina, Spain, and Russia. In Argentina, they adopted their two precious children Ryan and Shelby.

UNPACKING ON THEIR MISSIONARY JOURNEY

MISSIONARIES & THE BIRTH OF TOGETHER IN THE HARVEST MINISTRIES

Steve and Jeri continued to feel a tug in their heart for the nations, and soon received Missionary Evangelist status with the Assemblies of God to itinerate across the globe preaching the hope of the Gospel to those who would listen.

In 1992, Jeri heard the cries of her husband in their office and she slowly walked in to discover Steve laying prostrate on the floor weeping before the Lord. Jeri says this was the moment she could feel a shift in her spirit. She quietly walked backwards and up the stairs as she heard him wail before the Lord, 'God, I know how to plant Churches, I know how to preach, I know how to evangelize, but God! I don't want to do it in my own strength, I want YOU to do it through me!" Jeri sat at the top of the stairs, interceding and agreeing with her husband. Little did they know, they were sowing a seed of faith for the Lord to use in a monumental way in the coming years. This was the beginning of Together in the Harvest Ministries...

1995 - 2000

THE BROWNSVILLE REVIVAL &

AWAKE AMERICA CRUSADES

Father's Day 1995 was just another holiday for Brownsville Assembly of God. Pastor John Kilpatrick was mourning the loss of his precious mother who passed away just a few months prior, and he didn't feel fit to preach that Father's Day morning. He invited Steve to come and minister before he would journey to Europe for a missionary trip. Steve had ministered in Brownsville before, but something was different this time around. His hunger for the Lord was evident as he had recently come back from a Sandy Miller meeting at Holy Trinity Brompton in England.

Steve preached on Remembering the Wonders of the Lord. He called forward those who were desperate for the Lord, and the "typical" Father's Day service was interrupted by the sounds of hundreds crying out to the Lord and being touched mightily by Him.

This day sparked The Brownsville Revival and millions flocked to the meetings nearly every night to experience the power and presence of God. Steve's eccentric, yet simple messages of the Gospel, married with John Kilpatrick's shepherding of the revival, Lindell Cooley ushering in the presence of the Lord through worship, hundreds of prayer workers, volunteers, and intercessors lifting up the name of Jesus is what caused the Pensacola Outpouring to draw in the masses. Over 4.5 million people revolved through the doors of Brownsville Assembly of God and hundreds of thousands received Christ as their Savior in those 5 years!

The leadership knew this revival must spread, therefore they began traveling around the U.S. holding large Gospel campaigns called Awake America and witnessed a multitude of salvations! They eventually opened a Bible School and saw thousands graduate from The Brownsville Revival School of Ministry and to this day, there are graduates ministering as Pastors, sharing the Gospel in their workplace, and missionaries all around the world giving their lives for Christ.

Many have asked Jeri Hill why the revival "ended" in which her response has always been very simple, 'When the 120 met in the Upper Room in Acts 2, they were filled with the Holy Spirit and then went out. The church was added to daily because they left the upper room and carried the Holy Spirit and the message of the Gospel with them. We cannot seclude ourselves in one building forever, God intends revival to spread across the world!'

SENIOR PASTORS &

HOLDING CRUSADES

Steve began receiving invites from people all over the world saying "We can't come to the revival, please come to us." Steve and Jeri's hearts yearned for the nations once again, and they transitioned to holding meetings and crusades all over the world.

During this time, Steve heard the Lord tell him, "My sheep need a fold" and in 2003, they planted and pastored their church Heartland World Ministries. Thousands of lives were touched and transformed by God through the services and the Heartland School of Ministry.

After several years of fighting a cancer battle, Steve felt the church must be transitioned over. He and Jeri passed the Shepherd's Staff to Gary and Sabrina Meek. They have since continued pastoring Heartland and sharing the Gospel of Christ in the Dallas, TX metroplex.

Evangelist Stephen L. Hill

1954 - 2014

Steve and Jeri did everything they could to continue winning the lost, even in the last moments of Steve's life. On March 9th, 2014, Evangelist Steve Hill entered into the fullness of God's presence and joined his mother, along with many other generals in the faith in Heaven that day. His life left a mark that will impact lives for eternity.

Although he is so deeply missed, we know there is much work to be done for the Kingdom, and we must continue fulfilling the heartbeat of God and that is to go after souls!

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.  2 Timothy 4:7-8

"

A man's desperation for the things of God should melt away all preoccupations with self, notoriety, public image and social status. Your hunger and thirst, if it is genuine, will drive you to eat and to drink regardless of the opinions of others. You will be willing to be a fool in the sight of others, in order to be embraced in the arms of the Lord."

2014 - PRESENT

CARRYING ON THE MISSION

From the moment Steve and Jeri met Jesus and gave their lives to Him, they had only one mission in mind - souls. Jeri Hill continues on that mission by sharing her personal story of redemption, preaching the love of Jesus to the lost, and encouraging believers to go after their God-given purpose! In addition to this, she oversees our Online School of Evangelism to raise up on-fire for God believers, she mentors women from all over the world on a weekly basis, Jeri trains intercessors to cry out for the lost and those preaching the Gospel, she helps those who are in desperate situations from life-controlling addictions and ministers through our newest project Ryan's Hope (a re-entry program in Orlando, FL).

A Letter from Jeri...

"I am jealous of Steve. He gets to be with our first love, but I am still serving our first love. I have much work to do, but at the end of my life, I hope people remember my love for Jesus, and my longing to see them meet Him. When I take my last breath, nothing will matter except my relationship with the Lord, and what I did with the tools He entrusted to me. My heart aches to please Him. He is all that matters. If we all work together, we can reach this harvest and build the Kingdom of God, and all the glory and all the honor will not go to a man, but to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords; Our precious Savior, Jesus Christ. We are...
