The Pain of Loss.
I understand.
Losing your spouse is hard. Really hard. It's excruciating and oftentimes takes your breath away.
The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18

Feeling Alone.
Becoming a widow/widower is one of the hardest and most painful roles anyone could ever take on. You could be in a room filled with people, yet still feel completely isolated and alone. You see other couples and begin to remember all the times you had your spouse to hold your hand and make you feel desired.
I understand.
Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. Psalm 25:16

Healing.
I understand.
I know right now it may seem too difficult to fathom, but you can and you will heal. No, the pain of loss never goes away. But the Lord has a beautiful way of healing our broken hearts and restoring joy back to us.
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3

Living.
It's Time.
Through intimacy with the Lord and community with the Body of Christ, we can learn to live life again. It will look different, but God has an exquisite way of restoring our souls and giving us genuine joy.
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. Psalm 32:8
