I. SMALL BEGINNINGS
I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior at 18 after years of drug and alcohol abuse. It wasn't until after graduating Teen Challenge and eventually attending David Wilkerson's school Twin Oaks Leadership Academy that I met my husband, Steve Hill. From there, we had one mandate in mind, and that was to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We would evangelize to the children in their neighborhood, become children's Pastors, Youth Pastors and eventually feel a call to the mission field.
II. MISSIONARIES & THE BIRTH OF TOGETHER IN THE HARVEST MINISTRIES
We received Missionary Evangelist status with the Assemblies of God to itinerate across the globe preaching the hope of the Gospel to those who would listen.
In 1992, I heard the cries of Steve in our office and I slowly walked in to discover him laying prostrate on the floor weeping before the Lord. That was the moment I could feel a shift in my spirit. Little did I know, we were sowing a seed of faith for the Lord to use in a monumental way in the coming years. This was the beginning of Together in the Harvest Ministries.
III. THE BROWNSVILLE REVIVAL
Father's Day 1995 was just another holiday for Brownsville Assembly of God, Steve was invited to come and minister before a missionary trip.
He preached on Remembering the Wonders of the Lord. He called forward those who were desperate for the Lord, and the "typical" Father's Day service was interrupted by the sounds of hundreds crying out to the Lord and being touched mightily by Him.
This day sparked The Brownsville Revival and millions flocked to the meetings nearly every night to experience the power and presence of God. Over 4.5 million people revolved through the doors of Brownsville Assembly of God and hundreds of thousands received Christ as their Savior in those 5 years!
IV. SENIOR PASTORS
Steve heard the Lord tell him, "My sheep need a fold" and in 2003, we planted and pastored a church. Thousands of lives were touched and transformed by God through the services.
Steve and I did everything we could to continue winning the lost, even through the last moments of Steve's life. On March 9th, 2014, Steve entered into the fullness of God's presence after several years of fighting a cancer battle.
V. CARRYING ON THE MISSION
From the moment I met Jesus and gave my life to Him, there was only one mission in mind - souls. When I have entered into the fullness of God's presence, I hope to have left a legacy of honoring Jesus and following His commands to the best of my ability. I want to be remembered as a woman who pointed everyone back to Jesus.
